A custom campus safety command vehicle designed to strengthen emergency response, event coordination, and operational awareness across Tulane University's campus and surrounding community.
Accelerated Tactical partnered with Tulane University’s Office of Public Safety to design and deliver a custom public safety command vehicle that enhances field communications, incident coordination, and emergency preparedness during campus events, severe weather emergencies, and critical public safety situations.
Universities face many of the same challenges as municipalities and public safety agencies. From large campus events and visiting dignitaries to severe weather and unexpected incidents, personnel need a way to quickly bring people, information, and resources together when situations begin to unfold.
To support those needs, Tulane University invested in a custom mobile command platform designed to serve as a centralized, forward-operating hub for communications, decision-making, and incident management wherever support is needed.
Create a campus safety command vehicle that gives personnel a dedicated space to communicate, share information, and make decisions during large events, severe weather, and other situations requiring a coordinated response.
Built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter platform, Tulane University’s new mobile command vehicle allows public safety personnel to rapidly establish an on-site command presence during planned events and unexpected emergencies alike.
The vehicle was purpose-designed to bring field personnel, command staff, and partner agencies together in one place — creating a dedicated workspace for sharing information, monitoring developing situations, and making decisions as events unfold. At the center of the platform, the HNT conference table provides a collaborative space for planning, coordination, and real-time response management.
Whether supporting a major campus event with enhanced visibility from the long-range PTZ camera, coordinating personnel and resources through ATAK-enabled mapping tools, or bringing key decision-makers together in a dedicated command workspace, the platform allows teams to establish a command presence wherever it’s needed most.
